The LDS Church’s family history research center has signed a deal with Ancestry.com. They are seeking to make 1 billion new genealogical records available to the public. The plan is for the two parties to work together to go deep into the genealogical records of the Mormon Faith to get the 1 billion new records that will allow people around the world to research their own family trees. This also isn’t the first time these two have teamed up. They have previously made millions of records available to those who are interested in family history. It is also reported that the deal between Family search and Ancestry.com is a five-year, $60 million deal.
