GOP Rejects Reforms

The Utah Republican Party is once again rejecting a series of reforms to its nominating process. The “Tribune” reports GOP loyalists rejected a proposal during Saturday’s convention including one requiring candidates have more than two-thirds of the delegate vote to avoid a primary. Several key Republicans were pushing for reforms because they say the current system puts too much power in the hands of small groups of delegates.
