The Powell Ranger District of the forest is holding a series of public open houses to consider the future of open and closed roads in the district. The district is considering changing the decision on some specific roads under the 2009 Dixie National Forest Motorized Travel Plan decision. The open houses will be Tuesday, at the Community Center, 210 S. Center, Circleville; Thursday, at Triple C Arena, Panguitch; April 30, at Heritage Center, Tropic; and May 2, Search & Rescue Building, Airport Road, Kanab.
