The Boston Marathon bombing suspect who lost his life yesterday at the hands of police is remembered for losing a National Golden Gloves boxing bout four years ago in Salt Lake City. “The Salt Lake Tribune” says Tamerlan Tsarnaev did not make it past the first round of the tournament, losing in the 201-pound weight class. A sports clerk at “The Salt Lake Tribune,” Alex Noshirvan, reported Tsarnaev’s fight and says he was a, quote, “big, strong dude” who could hit hard. Tsarnaev planned to box at the tournament next month in Salt Lake City.
