Two 8th grade students from Red Hills Middle School in Richfield won a media contest sponsored by the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault. Hope Lee and Kansas Stewart won the contest for region 5, which includes Sevier, Sanpete, Piute, Garfield, and Kane Counties. As part of the contest, Utah youth were asked to explore how to be safe in their dating relationships. Hope and Kansas asked people in the community what it takes to have a healthy dating relationship, and documented their responses in a short video. The girls were awarded a $50 prize for their entry. The contest was run in conjunction with Sexual Harassment Awareness Month, which runs through April. A link to the YouTube video for Hope and Kansas has been posted on the KSVC Facebook page.
