Piute County Commissioner Darin Bushman reported that Piute County has been awarded grant money for a new ambulance. Bushman presented the project to the CIB funding Board in April and was given the go ahead to replace the Marysvale Ambulance. CIB Funding provided $117,000, and the State Bureau of EMS rewarded $24,000. The remainder of the cost will be paid by Piute County. Commissioners of Piute County are excited to replace the 17 year old ambulance in Marysvale. Piute County hopes to have the order placed by the end of April and receive the ambulance by October.
