Over 100 concerned parents, teachers and students protested at the Sevier School District board meeting on Wednesday. Frustrated community members were there to express concerns about the Superintendent Position not being open to everyone , everywhere. They asked the five Board Members to also change the testing practices in the schools. At the end of the meeting the crowd was asked to stand if they wanted the board to change their decision for the in – house Superintendent opening. Parents and students all stood unanimously in the room. However the Sevier School District Board members have not changed their decision. Parents and teachers hope that the board members will make changes to the job opening and testing practices in the Sevier School District.
