(Huntington) One miner is dead and another is injured after a collapse at the Rhino Mine in Bear Canyon west of Huntington. The Emery County Sheriffs office received a report of the collapse about 3:15 PM Friday. One miner, identified later as Dallen McFarlane, was removed and taken to the Castleview Hospital in Price. He was treated and released. The other miner was identified as 28-year-old Elam Jones. His body was recovered about 6:00 PM Friday night. Jones had assisted with rescue efforts at the Crandall Canyon mine collapse, and according to his mother, had previously survived two avalanches and an ATV accident. He leaves behind a wife and two young sons.
