A Utah lawmaker is seeking a ban on sex-selective abortions. The “Deseret News” says Utah Senator Margaret Dayton wants to prohibit the practice by woman of having an abortion based on whether they will have a boy or a girl. An official with Planned Parenthood says the proposed bill is a quote “solution looking for a problem” as there are no documented cases of selective abortions ever happening in Utah. Arizona, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania have already instituted bans on sex-selective abortions.
