The family of a missing West Valley mother is again asking for West Valley City to turn over documents related to her case. A lawyer representing the family of Susan Cox Powell wants the documents in order to use them in a civil lawsuit against Steve Powell, Susan’s father-in-law. West Valley Police turned down the request, and this is an appeal to the City Council. Steve Powell is in prison on voyeurism charges. His son, Susan’s husband Josh, was the only person of interest when Susan disappeared in December, 2009. He and the couple’s two sons died in a gruesome murder-suicide in Washington state earlier this year.
