With occupancy rates at waterfront hotels on the rise in Utah leaders from Garden City want to capitalize. Fox 13 says a development plan is in the works to construct a new waterfront resort hotel on Bear Lake. The Waters Edge resort is touted by developers as a tourist destination that could have a major economic impact on the area. Plans call for an 84-room full-service hotel in addition to private condominiums, commercial space and a conference center.
