(WASHINGTON D.C.) – Sen. Bob Bennett this week praised the Department of Interior for releasing draft regulations to allow for oil shale development on federal lands in Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. Bennett said oil shale development is not decades away but just a few years away to bring it to market. He commented that if the Democrats in Congress join 44 Republican senators in passing the Gas Price Reduction Act of 2008, it would solve our country’s long-term energy needs.
