(ST. GEORGE) – Two people traveling from Montana to Nevada were killed in a single vehicle rollover on I-15 near St. George Friday morning. According to a UHP report, at about 6am, 18-year old, Jeremy Rasmussen from Pahrump, NV was traveling southbound in a 2002 Chevy Cavalier, when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel and drifted off into the median. He overcorrected, going back across lanes of travel and sailed over a guardrail, down a steep embankment, rolled into a fence and came to rest on his top. Rasmussen was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle as was his passenger, 38-year old, Patricia Gonzalez, also of Pahrump. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. A six-year old girl was seatbelted in the back seat and sustained head injuries but not life-threatening. She was transported to the Dixie Regional Medical Center for treatment and released.
