ANAHEIM, Calif.-Garrett Anderson amassed four hits and five RBI as the Los Angeles Angels decimated the Boston Red Sox, 11-3 Friday at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The Angels put the game on ice when they outscored Boston, 7-0 in the fifth and sixth innings. John Lackey netted the win for Los Angeles on the mound, as he improved to 7-2 on the season, while Clay Buchholz took the defeat for the Red Sox. The win improved the Angels to 58-38 on the season, while Boston fell to 57-41. In other MLB action Friday, Baltimore humbled Detroit, 7-4, the New York Yankees smacked Oakland, 7-1, Cincinnati stormed past the New York Mets, 5-2, Philadelphia doubled up Florida, 4-2, Tampa Bay gashed Toronto, 2-1, Atlanta held off Washington, 7-6, Houston handled the Chicago Cubs, 2-1, Minnesota blanked Texas, 6-0, the Chicago White Sox overpowered Kansas City, 9-5, St. Louis outgunned San Diego, 11-7, Colorado blew past Pittsburgh, 5-2, Milwaukee hammered San Francisco, 9-1, Seattle drilled Cleveland, 8-2, and the Los Angeles Dodgers outlasted Arizona, 8-7 in 11 innings.
