(REDMOND) – Several communities in Sevier County are in need of a portable emergency generator to help pump water during power outages. In their monthly town council meeting, Redmond Town discussed obtaining a CIB grant of $20,000 with $15,000 local money to go towards purchasing the generator that would pump culinary water to the supply system if the power goes out. Some communities in Sevier County have to pump water from outside of their townships in order to have necessary supplies and a portable emergency generator would help when needed. Also at the meeting, Redmond Town officials discussed upgrading the electrical system at the Old Town Hall because breaker circuits continue to trip during events.
