Planning Commission welcomes new member

(RICHFIELD) – The Sevier County Planning Commission welcomed their newest member at the monthly planning meeting Wednesday night. Mike Miles of Monroe was asked by County Commissioner, Ralph Okerlund, to take the place of outgoing member, Kent Parsons, to be on the planning board. Miles said he brings alot of experience to the position. Also at the meeting, Douglas Gadd stepped down as Planning Chairman and John Worley was elected Chairman with Caryl Christensen as Vice-Chairman. The planning members also granted a conditional use permit to Wolverine Gas and Oil of Utah for a drill pad north of Salina and held a public hearing to consider a PUD application from Jeff Anderson to operate a welding shop near Sigurd. Planning members also sent a revised ordinance document on the painting of storage units to the Sevier County Commissioners.
