Utah Baseball Travels to No. 1 Oregon State

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah baseball team hits the road this weekend to face No. 1 ranked Oregon State for a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 7.

The series begins on Friday at 5:30 p.m. PT, and continues on Saturday, April 8, at 1:30 p.m. PT. Game three is Sunday, April 9, at 1:00 p.m. PT. All three games will be video streamed by OSU.
Utah (12-13, 3-6 Pac-12) is coming off its first Pac-12 series win of the season, taking two of three from Oregon.

Utah (12-13, 3-6 Pac-12) is third in the Pac-12 in batting average (.290). The Utes are third in the league in hits (251) and on-base percentage (.372), and fourth in runs scored (148), total bases (347), slugging percentage (.401) and RBI (131).

The Utes lead the league with eight pickoffs and six home runs allowed is tied for the fewest in the league.

Dallas Carroll leads the Pac-12 in batting average (.404) and is second in the league in hits per game (1.60). He is third in the Pac-12 in on-base percentage. DaShawn Keirsey, Jr., ranks in the top 10 in the league in hits, runs scored and total bases.

Jayson Rose is seventh in the league in strikeouts (38).

Oregon State is ranked No. 1 in every major collegiate baseball poll. The Beavers are on a 20-game win streak (25-1, 9-0 Pac-12) and lead the NCAA with a 1.73 earned run average.
