RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Kaylin Bedoni posted 13 points and the Monument Valley Cougars routed Wendover 53-35 in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Wednesday. The Cougars went on a 29-11 run in the 4th Quarter to win going away. Tanya Duran had 11 points in defeat for the Wildcats.
RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Samantha Chynoweth netted 13 points and Bryce Valley evaded an upset with a 30-27 win over Milford Wednesday in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center. Emily Barnes had 11 points in defeat for the Tigers. The Mustangs next face Monmument Valley Thursday at 8:30 pm in the 1-A state quarterfinals.
RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Brieann Birch’s 9 points led the way as the Panguitch Bobcats upset Duchesne 26-15 in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament Wednesday at the Sevier Valley Center. Ashtyn Spencer and Emily Jessen had 5 points apiece for the Eagles in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Bailey Wall amassed 21 points and Tina Wall added 15 more as the Tintic Miners smacked Whitehorse 47-33 at the Sevier Valley Center Wednesday in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center. Fayette Whitehorse had 12 points in the loss for the Raiders. The Miners next draw Panguitch Thursday at 7:00 pm in the 1-A state quarterfinals.
RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Shaelee Nay stepped up with 13 points and the Tabiona Tigers downed Piute 47-39 Wednesday in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center. Mickell Morgan had a game-high 17 points in defeat for the Thunderbirds.

Maribel Escalante had 10 points in the loss for the Pirates. St. Joseph next faces Tabiona Thursday at 5:30 pm in the 1-A state quarterfinals.
RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Atlanta Black led the way with 12 points as the Monticello Buckaroos smacked Valley 42-20 in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Wednesday. McKenna Roundy had 6 points in the loss for the Buffaloes.
RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Kierra Groll netted 22 points and the Rich Rebels surged past Wayne 55-51 in the first round of the 1-A girls state tournament Wednesday at the Sevier Valley Center. Courtney Jackson posted 25 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for the Badgers. Rich next faces Monticello in the 1-A state quarterfinals Thursday at 4:00 pm
