Weber State’s Kate Sorensen Wins 400-Meter Dash Saturday

NAMPA, Idaho-Saturday, Weber State and former Gunnison High track star Kate Sorensen won the women’s 400-meter dash title at the Ed Jacoby Invite and Multi-meet at Nampa, Idaho, hosted by Boise State University.

Sorensen ran the event in a time of 56.29 seconds, which is the fastest time for a Big Sky Conference female athlete this season.

She also ran the anchor leg of the Wildcats’ “A team” 4 x 400 meter relay and helped the squad finish fifth in a time of 3:59.13.

Sorensen and her Wildcats teammates will next be in action Friday and Saturday at the University of Washington Invitational at Seattle.
