OGDEN, Utah-Wednesday, Weber State men’s basketball junior guard Jerrick Harding was named to the All-Big Sky preseason conference team as part of the conference’s media day.
Harding, a native of Wichita, Kan., was a unanimous All-Big Sky and All-District first team selection as a sophomore, finishing 15th in the nation in scoring at 22 points per game.
This is the seventh-best scoring average for a season in program history.
In a win at Bozeman, Mont. against Montana State last season, Harding netted a program-record 46 points.
In his two seasons at Ogden thus far, Harding has amassed 979 career points, the most ever in program history for a freshman and sophomore.
He is currently Weber State’s all-time leader in free throw percentage at 87.3 percent.
Other members of the all-conference preseason team are Montana’s Ahmaad Rorie (the preseason MVP) and Michael Oguine, Montana State’s Tyler Hall, Jordan Davis of Northern Colorado and Portland State’s Holland Woods.
