Weber State Football Achieves Highest All-Time Ranking Monday

OGDEN, Utah-After vanquishing Montana State 34-24 last Saturday at Stewart Stadium, Weber State football made history when the new polls were released Monday.

In the FCS STATS poll, the Wildcats found themselves ranked #4 in the country, their highest ranking in program history.

In the AFCA Coaches’ poll, the Wildcats are ranked fifth nationally.

With the win over the Bobcats, the Wildcats improved to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in Big Sky play.

The Big Sky Conference currently has three teams in the top six in the FCS STATS poll as Eastern Washington is #5 and UC Davis is #6.

The Wildcats have three of their last four games on the road including a Saturday tilt at Grand Forks, N.D. against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. North Dakota checks in as the #22 team in the land.

North Dakota is an FCS independent but is playing a Big Sky conference schedule. Therefore, this game counts in the Big Sky standings for the Wildcats.
