SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Before she officially enters her senior season, Utah Valley University women’s golfer Carly Dehlin continued her solid summer by winning the Utah Women’s Stroke Play Championship at Hobble Creek Golf Course Thursday.
The 5’7″ Alta High product finished four-under to earn her first Utah Golf Association major championship.
Her head coach, Sue Nyhus, also competed, finishing in seventh and Dehlin’s teammate, Dallas Christofferson, placed 23rd. Former Wolverines golfer Hannah Herman finished 24th overall.
Dehlin bested former BYU golfer Annie Yang by two strokes and former Weber State competitor Kelsey Chugg finished third.
