OREM, Utah-Wednesday, Utah Valley women’s volleyball coach Sam Atoa released his squad’s 2018 volleyball schedule.
This season, the Wolverines will host Weber State, Idaho State and Utah State, and, of course, play their full Western Athletic Conference schedule.
Additionally, Utah Valley draws four NCAA Tournament foes from 2017 on the schedule, while also facing a fifth one, BYU, in an exhibition match. The Wolverines will face Oregon, NC State, in-state foe Utah and Cal State Bakersfield (the Roadrunners won the WAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament last season).
The Wolverines’ season officially commences August 24-25 at Davis, Calif. at the Aggie Invitational. On August 24, Utah Valley draws host UC Davis as well as the Holy Cross Crusaders of the Patriot League.
August 25, the Wolverines will face Northern Arizona and then return to Orem for their home opener, an August 28 date against Idaho State.
On November 17, the Wolverines will host Grand Canyon to close out the regular season. The WAC Tournament will run November 22-24 at the Icardo Center of Bakersfield, Calif. The winner of this tournament receives the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
