UVU Women’s Soccer Adds Ashley Hatch To Staff

OREM, Utah-Monday morning, Utah Valley women’s soccer announced an addition to their coaching staff, roughly a month and a half before the season commences.

Ashley Hatch, currently a player with the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League, ha signed on as a volunteer assistant.

In 2017, Hatch, a former BYU star, was drafted second overall in the 2017 NWSL Draft by the NC Courage, and was named as the rookie of the year by tying a league record with seven goals.

While at BYU, the Gilbert, Ariz. native started all four seasons for the Cougars, netting 47 goals and posting 21 assists, while earning All-American honors her senior season.

By virtue of her stellar career, her senior season saw her named as the Utah Collegiate Women’s Athlete of the Year at the Utah Governor’s State of Sports awards.

Hatch is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in family life at BYU.
