UVU Men’s Basketball Travels To Fresno State Saturday

FRESNO, Calif.-The 10-4 Utah Valley Wolverines’ men’s basketball squad, winners of nine of their last 10 games, travel to Fresno State Saturday to face the Mountain West Conference-affiliated Bulldogs.

The Wolverines continue to be led by redshirt junior guard Jake Toolson, who averages 16 points per game. He is also shooting 58.1 percent (79 of 136) from the field and 50 percent (28 of 56) from range.

Senior guard Conner Toolson is also productive for the Wolverines, averaging 14.6 points per contest.

The highly-productive Wolverines are 20th nationally in total rebounds (522) and 32nd in assists (208).

The Wolverines score 78.4 points per game and average 72.8 points per contest.

The Bulldogs come into this game at 9-2 and score 81.9 points per game, while limiting opponents to 66.8 points per contest.

Fresno State gets complementary star power from senior redshirt guard Braxton Huggins (18.7 points, 3.7 rebounds per game) and senior guard Deshon Taylor (18 points, 3.6 rebounds per game).

Saturday’s tilt at the Save Mart Center is the first in history between the Wolverines and Bulldogs. Utah Valley seeks its first win in history against the Mountain West Conference, as they are currently 0-9 against the conference.
