OREM, Utah-Friday, Utah Valley baseball (3-13 on the season) continues its homestand by hosting the #22 UC Irvine Anteaters of the Big West conference.
This is a three-game series, with single games also occurring Saturday and Sunday at UCCU Ballpark.
Earlier this week, the Wolverines split with Niagara of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, downing the Purple Eagles 8-2 Monday and falling to Niagara 12-8 Tuesday.
Senior outfielder Michael Beltran leads the Wolverines with a .382 batting average. Junior outfielder Alexander Marco has a team-best two home runs and eight RBI for Utah Valley.
Junior infielder Brandon Lewis (5 home runs, 15 RBI) leads the 9-4 Anteaters offensively.
Senior pitcher Jordan Bocko is the Anteaters’ leader in wins, as he currently sports a 3-0 record on the season.
