Utah State Football Adds Jalil Brown As Cornerbacks Coach

LOGAN, Utah-Wednesday, Utah State head football coach Gary Andersen announced Jalil Brown as the Aggies’ new cornerbacks coach.

Brown brings extensive experience both as a star player and an assistant coach to his new post at Logan.

A former two-time all-Big 12 cornerback at Colorado (2006-2010) and a standout with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs (2011-2012), Indianapolis Colts (2013; 2014-2015) and Miami Dolphins (2013-2014), Brown commenced his coaching career in 2017 as Boise State’s assistant strength coach.

The Broncos then promoted him as a defensive analyst in 2018. Later on in 2018, he was hired by Northern Arizona University to coach the Lumberjacks’ cornerbacks.

While at NAU, he helped the Lumberjacks become the 13th best pass defense (179.7 yards per game) at the FCS level.

Two of his star players, Khalil Dorsey (1st team all-Big Sky Conference) and Maurice Davison (3rd team all-Big Sky Conference) were named as all-conference performers.

Brown is a 2010 graduate of Colorado, earning degrees in sociology and business management.
