INDEPENDENCE, Minn.-Monday, the Utah men’s golf team concluded its first tournament of the fall season by placing 10th at the Gopher Invitational at the Windsong Farm Golf Club of Independence, Minn.
Winning the team title was Oklahoma, as the Sooners scored an 847 (-5). The individual winner was Arkansas’ William Buhl posting a -7, edging out Oklahoma’s Blaine Hale who also scored a -7.
The Utes’ highest finisher was Kyler Dunkle, a senior out of Larkspur, Colo., who placed 32nd. His teammate, Swedish national, Axel Einarsson, also tied for 32nd, with Tristan Mandur and Blake Tomlinson tying 38th apiece for Utah. The lowest-finishing Ute was Jordan Costello, who finished tied for 44th.
