Utah Men’s Basketball Hosts Florida A&M Monday

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, Utah men’s basketball, fresh off of an 88-61 loss to Kentucky Saturday, will host Florida A&M at the Huntsman Center.

The Utes come into this game at 4-5 and will face the Rattlers, of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, for the first time in history.

Utah is 7-0 all-time against foes from the MEAC.

Despite the blowout loss at the hands of the Wildcats at Lexington, Ky., the Utes out-rebounded the Wildcats, 31-23. This commemorates the first time on the season that Kentucky has been beaten on the glass.

The Utes are now being outscored on average per game, 73.7-71.3 and senior guard Sedrick Barefield remains the team’s leading scorer with 12.9 points per game. Sophomore forward Donnie Tillman averages 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for the Utes.

The Rattlers come in to Salt Lake City at 3-8 and are outscored on average 67.5-61.1 per game.

Senior guard Justin Ravenel averages 13.7 points per game to pace the Rattlers.
