Utah Men’s Basketball Hosts Arizona Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, Utah men’s basketball hosts Arizona as the 13-10 (7-4 in Pac-12 play) Utes try to be as successful at the Huntsman Center as they have been on the road.

After erasing a 22-point deficit Saturday to down UCLA 93-92, the Utes became the first Pac-12 squad to sweep all four of the California schools on the road since Arizona pulled the feat off in 2016-17.

The Utes have currently won four straight road games, but are seeking their first home win since January 20 when they downed Colorado 78-69.

Utah has currently outscored opponents by 40 points on the season (1744-1704) and averages 75.8 points while giving up 74.1 points per contest.

Senior guard Sedrick Barefield (16.3 points per game) remains the Utes’ leading scorer.

Freshman forward Timmy Allen (11.6 points, 5 rebounds per game) and sophomore forward Donnie Tillman (10.6 points, 5.4 rebounds per game) also bolster the Utah offense.

The Wildcats come into Thursday’s game at 14-10 (5-6 in Pac-12 play).

Arizona scores 72.4 points per game and surrenders 69 points per contest.

The Wildcats are led by sophomore guard Brandon Randolph (14.1 points per game) while freshman guard Brandon Williams (12 points, 2.8 rebounds per game) and redshirt junior Chase Jeter (11.8 points, 7 rebounds per game) also shoulder the load for coach Sean Miller’s young squad.

The Wildcats are seeking to snap a 3-game road losing streak and are 11-20 at Salt Lake City all-time.

Arizona, however, does lead the all-time series against the Utes, 34-29.
