Utah Football Camp Kicks off August 1

SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham confirmed the beginning of the Utes’ preseason camp to be August 1.

Additionally, the Pac-12 media day is slated for July 25 at Hollywood, Calif. The Utes will be represented at this event by Whittingham, senior linebacker Chase Hansen and senior center Lo Falemaka.

The Utes’ camp will run from August 1-18 and is not open to the public although this practice schedule will exclude Sundays and Saturdays during its run. However, there will be a Fan Fest August 18 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Media will be allowed to observe practices at the following times and locations:

August 1-3 at 5:10 pm at the Eccles Football Complex, August 6, 8, 10 at 11:45 am at a place yet to be determined, August 13, 15, 17, 11:45 am at a place yet to be determined and at the fan fest.

Classes and regular practices will each commence for the Utes August 20.

The Utes will also be one of the most experienced teams in college football with 18 starters returning.

This includes nine offensive starters, seven defensive starters and both the kicker and punter.

The Utes are the 11th most experienced team in college football with their returnees.
