USU Football Picked Fourth in Mountain Division of Mountain West Conference

LAS VEGAS-Tuesday, as Mountain West Conference football media days commenced at the Cosmopolitan, the Utah State Aggies were selected by conference media to finish fourth in the Mountain Division.

The projected favorite in the Mountain Division is defending Mountain West champion Boise State. The Broncos netted 22 first-place votes from the media after defeating Fresno State 17-14 in last year’s Mountain West title game.

Wyoming was picked to finish second in the division, followed by Colorado State. Air Force was slated to finish fifth in the Mountain Division with New Mexico projected to finish sixth overall.

In the Mountain West’s West division, Fresno State is the projected favorite as the Bulldogs earned 16 first-place votes.

San Diego State was slated to finish second, followed by UNLV, Nevada, Hawaii and San Jose State.

The Aggies’ season commences August 31 at East Lansing, Mich. against the Big Ten’s Michigan State Spartans.
