PRICE, Utah-Utah State-Eastern Utah volleyball coach Danielle Jensen, per a late Wednesday afternoon announcement, has completed her roster for the 2018 season.
Jensen announced the signings of 6’2″ freshman Kailey Barnett of Memphis, Tenn. and Layton High School product Malia Delos Santos, calling them “the final pieces to the 2018 volleyball team” and that they will arrive in August.
Barnett, a middle blocker, is a former star at Gateway Christian School and served as a team captain and all-region player as she averaged 2.02 kills, .72 blocks and .85 aces per set.
Delos Santos earned multiple varsity letters during her career with the Lancers and played club volleyball for Club V in high school.
The Eagles’ season commences August 24 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield as at this tournament, they will face Western Wyoming, Eastern Wyoming, Central Wyoming and Eastern Arizona.
