Kanab Invitational

KANAB, Utah-Saturday, various Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network schools and athletes participated at the Kanab Invitational with several strong performances occurring across the board.

For the boys, Manti took the team title with 121 points. Beaver placed third with 75 points, host Kanab was fourth with 74 points and Panguitch was fifth with 67 points. Additionally, North Sanpete finished sixth with 62 points, Piute was seventh with 30 points and Milford was eighth with 20 points. Valley placed 10th with 17 points.

The Templars punctuated their win with a win in the medley relay in a time of 3:59.75. This team consisted of Keenan Moulton, Daniel Clark, Jaden Sterner and Ethan Johnson. Additionally, Beaver’s boys placed second, North Sanpete was third, Piute finished fourth and Panguitch placed fifth.

North Sanpete’s Orange Peel swept the 3200 (10:42.74) and 1600 (4:54.18) meter titles to give the Hawks some key points.

Panguitch’s Kanyon Lamb swept the 110 (16.32 seconds) and 300 (40.80 seconds) meter hurdle crowns.

In the boys’ 400-meter dash, Beaver’s Hunter Carter (52.88 seconds) took the title, while in the 100-meter dash, Keenan Moulton (11.56 seconds) of Manti won the crown and Manti’s Ethan Johnson (23.94 seconds) won the 200-meter dash title.

Manti’s Jaden Sterner won the 800-meter run title (2:14.61) and Jarom Johnson of Kanab placed second in the boys’ long jump with a leap of 19-01 feet.

The Manti boys won the 4 x 100 title (47.02 seconds). This team consists of Trevor Robinson, Keenan Moulton, Tyson Brenchley, Ethan Johnson and Josh Blauer.

Kanab’s Cade Szymanski won the boys’ high jump title with a jump of 5-10.

The boys’ javelin winner was Piute’s Westen Sylvester (136-05) while Treyson Harris of Beaver won the shot put title (42-11) and Braden Heaton of Valley finished second in the boys’ discus.

For the girls, Panguitch won the team title with 117 points. Manti was second with 99 points, Milford finished fourth with 74.5 points, Kanab placed fifth with 68 points, Beaver was sixth with 64 points and North Sanpete was seventh with 54.5 points. Additionally, Escalante finished eighth with 28 points and Bryce Valley was ninth with 20 points.

Milford’s girls won the medley relay title in a time of 4:42.19. This team consists of Alexa Walker, Teigyn Fields, Taylor Alger, Kinley Spaulding, Akaydeh Livingston and Kinsey Williams.

Livingston also won the girls’ 3200-meter run (13:53.16) title and the Milford girls won the 4 x 100 relay (54.11 seconds). This team was comprised of Paige James, Teigyn Fields, Kinsey Williams and Alexa Walker.

Kaitlyn Hemond of Beaver won the girls’ 400-meter run title (1:05.15) and North Sanpete’s Isabelle Hightower won both the 100 (13.06 seconds) and 200 (28.08 seconds) meter dash titles.

Manti’s Allie Bridges won the girls’ 800-meter run crown (2:49.59) and Escalante’s Lilly Steed (15-04.50) won the girls’ long jump title.

Panguitch’s Tana Frandsen won the girls’ high jump title (4-10.00) and Karlee Eyre, her teammate, won the girls’ javelin (104 feet) and discus (96-05 feet) titles and Panguitch’s Kambree Fuller won the shot put title (32-04.00).

FILLMORE, Utah-Saturday, various Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network athletes and schools competed at the Old Capitol Invitational at Millard High School.

Delta’s boys took the team title, edging Carbon 108-103. Millard was close behind in third place, with 102 points. Juab finished fourth with 79 points and North Sevier was fifth with 53 points. South Sevier finished fourth with 31 points and Gunnison was 10th with 21 points.

Delta’s girls also took a team title, posting 154.5 points. Millard was third with 111 points and Gunnison and North Sevier tied for fifth place with 36 points apiece. South Sevier was seventh with 35 points and Juab placed 11th with 5 points.

North Sevier’s Riley Ogden won both the boys’ 100 (11.72 seconds) and 200 (24.15 seconds) meter dash titles.

Juab’s Jake Bailey won the 400-meter dash (55.79 seconds) crown and Jaymen Brough of Delta swept the 110 (17.09 seconds) and 300 (42.12 seconds) hurdle titles.

Gabe Wilcox of North Sevier won the boys’ shot put (38-07) title and Juab’s Hunter Blackburn (111-11) took the discus title for the boys.

Delta’s boys took the 4 x 100 (46.01 seconds) and medley relay (3:59.00) titles. The 4 x 100 team consists of William Finlinson, Oran Finlinson, Trey Brough and Derek Smith. The medley team features Britton Smith, Jaymen Brough, Oran Finlinson and Cael Rowley.

For the girls, Delta’s Adi Nielson (13.34 seconds) won the 100-meter dash title while Jade Wimmer of Gunnison took the 200 (26.46 seconds) and 400 (1:0028) meter crowns. Nielson also won the 300-meter hurdles (46.81 seconds) title for the Rabbits.

Millard’s Audrey Camp won both the girls’ 800 (2:28.83) and 1600 (5:37.98) meter titles and her teammate, Katy Kelly, (12:16.73) won the 3200-meter crown for the girls.

Delta’s Savannah Nielson (16.10 seconds) won the girls’ 100-meter hurdles title and South Sevier’s Kenzie Jones took the girls’ high jump title with a leap of 5 feet even.

Delta’s girls also got a pair of individual titles from Haylee Christensen in the shot put (30-08.50) and Brinley Henrie (98-03) in the discus.

The Delta girls also swept all the relay race crowns, winning the 4 x 100 (50.64 seconds), 4 x 400 (4:18.16) and medley (4:59.38) relays.

The 4 x 100 team consists of Megan Atkinson, Savannah Nielson, Adi Nielson and Brandy Stratten.

Comprising the 4 x 400 team for the Rabbits were Savannah Nielson, Quincee Allred, Megan Atkinson and Adi Nielson.

The Rabbits’ medley relay team consists of Allie Henrie, Sage Christiansen, Shayley Anderson and Katelyn Tolbert.
