FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.-Monday, Southern Utah University men’s basketball visits the Walkup Skydome of Flagstaff, Ariz. in hopes of earning a season sweep of the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks as Big Sky Conference play continues for both schools.
The 9-8 Thunderbirds are 4-4 in Big Sky play and are seeking to reverse the trend after dropping a 79-68 game at Northern Colorado January 24.
The Thunderbirds have both scored and surrendered 1,321 points on the season. Therefore, they score 77.7 points per game and give up 77.7 points per contest.
Junior guard/forward Cameron Oluyitan (13.6 points per game) and senior guard Brandon Better (12.2 points) are SUU’s statistical leaders on the season.
The 5-12 (3-4) Lumberjacks score 70.9 points per game and surrender 77.4 points per contest.
Sophomore forward Bernie Andre (12.6 points, 7.1 rebounds per game) leads the Lumberjacks, along with sophomore guard Carlos Hines (12.5 points per game.)
This is also a historic matchup as the Thunderbirds and Lumberjacks are tied 16-16 all-time.
