Football

2-A South

BEAVER, Utah-EJ Allred ran for 138 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown as the Beaver Beavers downed North Sevier 24-6 to have a successful Homecoming game in 2-A South football action Friday. These two explosive offenses combined for 20 net points in the 4th Quarter to break open a defensive struggle while Beaver improved to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in 2-A South play.

Beaver also received a 38-yard touchdown run from Kaleb Barney and Ryker Albrecht tossed a 5-yard touchdown pass to Spencer Williams for the Beavers. Additionally, Dylan Bartlett made a 42-yard field goal as the first half expired, initially giving Beaver a 10-0 lead going into the half.

The 10-0 score remained intact into the 4th Quarter until North Sevier signal-caller Marshall Okerlund (27 of 47, 300 yards, TD, 2 INT’s) hit Kody Christensen (13 rec, 153 yards, TD) on a 43-yard scoring strike to make it 10-6 as the PAT was blocked.

Barney’s touchdown run made it 17-6 and as North Sevier turned the ball over on downs, Allred ran in the final score from 5 yards out for the final margin of victory for the Beavers.

The Beavers travel to Grand next Friday to face the Red Devils in a game that will be on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network. North Sevier will travel to Blanding, Utah next Friday to face San Juan, but this game will not be broadcast on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network.

MONROE, Utah-Tyson Chisholm had scoring runs of 91 and 4 yards, but it wasn’t enough as San Juan beat South Sevier 21-14 in 2-A South football action Friday.

3-A South

MANTI, Utah-Colby Smith tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Juan Diego Soaring Eagle pounded Manti 40-13 Friday in 3-A South football action. Dallin Rasmussen and Tyler Taukeiaho had touchdown runs in the loss for the Templars.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Chance Clawson had a 10-yard touchdown pass to Landon Bowles and added two touchdown runs as the North Sanpete Hawks overpowered Richfield 27-14 in 3-A South football action Friday. Emmitt Hafen had a 2-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Winters in the loss for the Wildcats.

BLUFFDALE, Utah-Kasey Briggs had two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores as the Summit Academy Bears stymied Juab 41-25 Friday in 3-A South football action. Cade Bowring ran for a score and threw for another one, while Easton Wright ran for another score for the Wasps.

Non-Region

ALTAMONT, Utah-Bryson Barnes threw touchdown passes to Casek Hardy and Semaia Sionaia as the Milford Tigers routed Altamont 35-6 Friday in non-region football action. Barnes added a 35-yard touchdown run for the Tigers and Gage Griffiths added a 6-yard rushing score for Milford in the rout.

2-A North

FILLMORE, Utah-Brooks Myers tossed four touchdown passes and the Millard Eagles pulverized North Summit 59-0 in 2-A North football action Friday. Austin Burraston added two touchdown runs for the Eagles with Jed DeGraffenried stepping up with a 5-yard touchdown run for Millard as well in the rout.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Jacob Negus tossed four touchdown passes and the American Leadership Eagles outgunned Gunnison 55-33 Friday in 2-A North football action. Harley Hill had two touchdown runs in the loss for the Bulldogs, while Kolby Olsen added a 10-yard touchdown run and Creed Mogle and Caden Madsen also tossed touchdown passes in defeat for Gunnison.

DELTA, Utah-Kael Atkinson’s five touchdown passes led the South Summit Wildcats to a 55-35 win over Delta in 2-A North football action Friday. Oran Finlinson had two touchdown runs and Jake Jackson added a 5-yard touchdown run for the Rabbits in the loss.

Girls Soccer

Region 15

MOAB, Utah-Brynlee Golding posted a pair of goals and the Manti Templars blanked Grand 6-0 Friday in Region 15 girls soccer action. Breanne Wayman, Courtney Wade, Jayci Jolley and Nicole Nelson also added goals for the Templars in the win. Jentry Young and Katie Larsen combined on the shutout for Manti.

Volleyball

Region 20

PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats routed Piute 3-0 Friday in Region 20 volleyball action. Panguitch used 25-8, 25-12 and 25-12 wins to prevail easily against the Thunderbirds.
