DELTA, Utah-Giovanni Pavoni amassed a hat trick and the Carbon Dinos smacked Delta 5-1 Thursday in Region 14 boys soccer action. Jager Springer had the sole goal in defeat for the Rabbits.
Region 15
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Carlos Navarro’s hat trick led the way and the North Sanpete Hawks waxed Richfield 3-1 in Region 15 boys soccer action Thursday.
MANTI, Utah-Braden Boggess, Brian Chavez, Fidel Sanchez, Jaime Vargas and Noah Cano-Munoz each scored as the Manti Templars smacked South Sevier 5-2 Thursday in Region 15 boys soccer action. Brad Taylor and Tyler Peterson each scored for the Rams in defeat.
Region 18
FILLMORE, Utah-Jose Roman posted a hat trick and Aaron Trejo added two more goals as the Millard Eagles routed Gunnison 6-2 in Region 18 boys soccer action Thursday. Alex Wall also scored in the win for the Eagles, while in the loss, Brayan Ruiz and Kris Edwards scored for the Bulldogs.
Softball
2-A Central
FILLMORE, Utah-TyLynn Taylor and Megan Rasmussen each went yard as the Millard Eagles routed Piute 18-3 Thursday in 2-A Central softball action.
Non-Region
MANTI, Utah-August Cowan earned the win in the circle as Grantsville dismantled Manti 5-1 in non-region softball action Thursday.
Baseball
2-A North
SALT LAKE CITY-Burke Mickelsen tripled and the North Sevier Wolves blanked Rowland Hall 16-0 Thursday in the first game of a 2-A North baseball doubleheader. Chase Rasmussen, Rocky Bringhurst, Ryan Delgado and Shawn Sorensen all added doubles in the win for the Wolves. Rylan Crane took the win on the mound for North Sevier.
SALT LAKE CITY-Burke Mickelsen once again tripled and the North Sevier Wolves completed a 2-A North baseball doubleheader sweep by downing Rowland Hall 13-1 Thursday. Preston Butler added a double in victory for the Wolves.
Non-Region
NEPHI, Utah-Avery Anderson and Janzen Keisel each belted a pair of doubles as the Gunnison Bulldogs smacked Juab 9-3 Thursday in non-region baseball action. Parx Bartholomew added another double and earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Dalin Ludlow doubled in the loss for the Wasps.
