ORDERVILLE, Utah-Garrett Spencer posted 19 points and the Valley Buffaloes smacked Diamond Ranch 78-47 in the first round of the Region 20 boys basketball tournament Wednesday. Charles Carpenter had 19 points in defeat for the Diamondbacks.
TROPIC, Utah-Easton Syrett and Sergio Vasquez had 13 points apiece as the Bryce Valley Mustangs routed Escalante 91-43 Wednesday in the first round of the Region 20 boys basketball tournament. Bracken Lyman’s 20 points led the Moquis in the loss.
JUNCTION, Utah-Kesler Blood netted 22 points and 8 rebounds while the Piute Thunderbirds pounded Water Canyon 65-43 in the first round of the Region 20 boys basketball tournament Wednesday. James Jeffs had 19 points in the loss for the Wildcats.

TROPIC, Utah-Oakley Johnson amassed 15 points as the Bryce Valley Mustangs gashed Escalante 43-22 Wednesday in the first round of the Region 20 girls basketball tournament. Caitlynn Lyman had 12 points for the Moquis in defeat.
