Boys Basketball

Region 20

TROPIC, Utah-Sergio Vasquez posted 26 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs routed Diamond Ranch 80-53 Thursday in Region 20 boys basketball action. Gavin Ellsworth had a game-high 27 points in the loss for the Diamondbacks.

JUNCTION, Utah-Acey Orton stepped up with 20 points and the Panguitch Bobcats humbled Piute 51-40 in Region 20 boys basketball action Thursday. Kelby Jessen had 12 points in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

Non-Region

KAMAS, Utah-Grady Thompson led the way with 14 points and the Manti Templars edged South Summit 59-57 Thursday in non-region boys basketball action. Kael Atkinson had 15 points in the loss for the Wildcats.

Girls Basketball

Region 14

DELTA, Utah-Shaylee Fowles scored a game-high 19 points and the Delta Rabbits outscored Union 22-9 in the fourth quarter for a 45-35 Region 14 win Thursday. Jordyn Nielsen added 11 points for the Lady Rabbits, while Reagan Anderson had a team-high 11 points for the Lady Cougars.

Region 18

FILLMORE, Utah-Ronnie Robinson netted 11 points and the Enterprise Wolves overpowered Millard 45-36 in Region 18 girls basketball action Thursday. Megan Wade’s 11 points paced the Eagles in defeat.

KANAB, Utah-Brinley Cornell and Sidney McDonald posted 17 points apiece as Kanab decimated Gunnison 67-31 Thursday in Region 18 girls basketball action. Taryn Thompson had 10 points in the loss for the Bulldogs.

PAROWAN, Utah-Brinley Mason scored a game-high 14 points to lead the North Sevier Wolves past Parowan 40-32 in Region 18 girls basketball action Thursday. McKylee Malmgren added 9 points in the win. Kiara Gurr scored 10 points for the Lady Rams in the loss.

Non-Region

EUREKA, Utah-Brook Barson netted 12 points and the Manti Templars pounded Tintic 53-31 in non-region girls basketball action Thursday. Lily Wall led all scorers with 14 points for the Miners in defeat.

STANSBURY PARK, Utah-Kayla Alvey amassed 17 points and the Stansbury Stallions got past Juab 51-41 Thursday in non-region girls basketball action. Bayli Heap posted 9 points and 5 boards in the loss for the Wasps.
