SALINA, Utah-Nathaniel “Hoss” Houston posted 14 points and Samuel Orton added 13 points and 7 rebounds on 5 of 6 from the field as the Kanab Cowboys outlasted North Sevier 51-45 in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday.
Tyler Clark added 11 points and 13 boards for the Cowboys, who withstood a late North Sevier surge to improve to 9-3 on the season.
Burke Mickelsen amassed 16 points and 16 rebounds on 7 of 10 shooting from the field for the Wolves, who slipped to 5-6 in defeat. Kody Christenen added 12 more points in the loss for North Sevier.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Ryan Holt led the way with 33 points and the Enterprise Wolves outlasted Beaver 52-50 in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday. Ky Brown led the Beavers in the loss with 15 points.
FILLMORE, Utah-Hayes Monroe posted 22 points and the Millard Eagles smacked Gunnison 74-59 Wednesday in Region 18 boys basketball action. Braxton Sylvester and Creed Mogle netted 14 points apiece in the loss for the Bulldogs.
Region 14
HERRIMAN, Utah-Marcus Sherwood amassed 19 points and 19 boards and the Providence Hall Patriots smacked Delta 66-51 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball action. Derek Smith’s 21 points led the Rabbits in the loss.
LINDON, Utah-Ty Allred led the way with 20 points and the Juab Wasps hammered Maeser 60-44 in Region 14 boys basketball action Wednesday. Hugh Jackson’s 12 points led the Lions in the loss
Region 15
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Brodie Tuttle netted 23 points and the Emery Spartans humbled Manti 74-65 Wednesday in Region 15 boys basketball action. Mason Thompson’s 17 points led the Templars in defeat.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Yates Taylor stepped up with 17 points and the South Sevier Rams gashed North Sanpete 50-36 in Region 15 boys basketball action Wednesday. Scott Hatch led the Hawks in defeat with 12 points.
Region 20
TROPIC, Utah-Treyson Roberts posted 19 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs routed Piute 53-38 Wednesday in Region 20 boys basketball action. Kelby Jessen had 10 points in the loss for the Thunderbirds.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Acey Orton amassed 26 points as the Panguitch Bobcats decimated Water Canyon 89-49 in Region 20 boys basketball action Wednesday. Guy Musser’s 12 points led the Wildcats in defeat.
