Nation’s Leading Rusher Garners NJCAA Player of the Week

(Colorado Springs, CO) Snow College Sophomore running back Jaylen Warren earned the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Week for Saturday’s performance against 11th ranked Pima.  Warren carried the ball 17 times for 156 yards and four touchdowns. He averaged 9.2 yards per carry with his longest run being 37 yards. Warren got to the end zone on runs of 24, 2, 37 and 10 yards in No. 5 Snow’s win over No. 11 Pima 64-17.
Currently, Warren leads all running backs in the nation with an average of 161.8 yards per game and is third on this list in rushing touchdowns with 14.  Warren has rushed for 1,294 yards in just 8 games and can eclipse the 1,500 yard plateau with 206 yards gained in the last game of the season, which is this Saturday against Eastern Arizona in the Western States Football League championship game in Thatcher, Arizona.  The game can be heard live on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network on KMTI AM 650 & 95.1 FM beginning at 6:30 pm with the pregame show.
