Juab and Delta Still In the Running For a 3-A Wrestling Championship

OREM, Utah-After day 1 of competition at the 3-A state wrestling championships at Utah Valley University, the Delta Rabbits and Juab Wasps are representing the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network coverage area proudly.

The Region 14 rivals are atop the current 3-A standings headed into Saturday’s title competition.

The Wasps have 100.5 net points while the Rabbits have 89.5 points headed into Saturday.

South Sevier is sixth with 67.5 points, Richfield is seventh with 61 points, North Sanpete is 13th with 39 points and Manti is 14th with 38.5 points.

Individually, Richfield’s Denim Torgerson is still alive for the 3-A 113-pound title as is Juab’s Channing Warner and Delta’s Maverick Caldwell at 120 pounds.

At 126 pounds, Juab’s Conner Ingram and Jayden Petersen of Delta are individual contenders.

At 132 pounds, Ryker Ogden of Richfield is still in the running and at 138 pounds, Triston Fillmore of South Sevier is still in contention.

At 145 pounds, Juab’s Cade Bowring as well as Tate Willoughby and Austin Chase of Delta are still alive.

At 152 pounds, Juab’s Tyler Lynn, Dyllin Broughton of Delta and Cannon Fullenbach of South Sevier all remain contenders.

At 160 pounds, Manti’s Damon Mayfield and Kade Jensen of Richfield are among the contenders.

At 170 pounds, North Sanpete’s Luis Rodriguez and Dillon Sorenson of Richfield are vying for the crown.

At 182 pounds, Juab’s Charles Watts, Jake Jackson of Delta and Wyatt Morrison of South Sevier are still alive.

At 195 pounds, Juab’s Blake Mangelson, Delta’s Bowen Shields and Seni Lino Latu of Manti are all still in contention.

At 220 pounds, Juab’s Shan Jackson is still alive for the crown.

Finally, at 285 pounds, North Sanpete’s Dalton Anderson and Blake Greene of Delta are still alive for the crown.
