Jordan Love of USU Football Named As Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week

LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State quarterback Jordan Love was named as the Mountain West Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week for the fifth time this season for his contributions to the #14 Utah State Aggies’ 62-24 rout of San Jose State Saturday.

Love, a 6-4 225-pound sophomore out of Bakersfield, Calif., completed 32 of 42 passes for a career-high 491 yards and a school-record tying five touchdowns in the win. His 491 yards in the air are the third-most in school history and is tied for the seventh greatest single-game performance in FBS college football this season.

Love also added a 1-yard touchdown run and sat out the 4th Quarter for the Aggies.

Presently, Love leads the Mountain West in passing efficiency and is 10th nationally with a rating of 164.4.

Love also quarterbacks the highest-scoring offense in the nation as the Aggies amass 51.3 points per game. The Aggies are also 10th in the nation in total offense, posting 517.5 yards per contest.

Utah State is also 10th nationally in 3rd down conversions as they convert on 3rd down 47.8 percent of the time. The Aggies are also sixth nationally in 4th down conversions as they are 5-7 (71.4 percent) on 4th down.

Utah State returns to action Saturday at Fort Collins, Colo. to battle the Colorado State Rams.
