(Green Bay, WI) — Another former Utah standout is hanging up his cleats.
Filipo Mokofisi is retiring from football just two weeks after signing a rookie free agent deal with the Green Bay Packers.
Mokofisi was a three-year starter at defensive tackle for the Utes. He is the second former Ute to abruptly hang up his cleats in May. Fellow D-tackle Lowell Lotulelei retired from football after being signed to a rookie free agent contract last week.
