CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday evening, former Juab High girls basketball star Hannah Robins and former North Sevier High girls basketball star Peyton Shepherd (Torgerson) had 7 points apiece, helping Southern Utah to a 69-59 win over San Diego in non-conference women’s basketball action at the America First Event Center.
Robins added 5 rebounds and shot 3-5 from the field in 28 minutes of action for the program’s new head coach, Tracy Sanders.
Shepherd also amassed 5 rebounds and shot a proficient 3 of 4 from the field.
The Thunderbirds are next in action November 15 at Riverside, Calif. against the UC Riverside Highlanders.
