Drew Hill Among UVU Athletes Named To The WAC Spring All-Academic Team

DENVER-Former Gunnision High baseball star Drew Hill joined 71 of his fellow Utah Valley University student-athletes on the Western Athletic Conference’s spring all-academic team in their respective sports Tuesday.

These athletes came from the baseball, softball, men’s and women’s golf and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams.

The women’s outdoor track and field roster boasted the most honorees among Wolverines’ spring athletic programs with 23.

To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must have completed one academic year, have at least a 3.2 GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.

Of the 1,200 student-athletes representing the WAC on these academic teams, the Wolverines had the second-most honorees in the conference, with 186 such athletes in all sports across the board.

Word has emerged as well from Kyle McDonald, a UVU reporter with ksl.com, that Hill is transferring from UVU to a junior college in Arizona. We will do our best to find out where he lands and bring you the latest as swiftly as we can.
