Dixie State Routs Adams State To End Season Successfully

ALAMOSA, Colo.-Michael Sanders ensued in his recent magnificence by completing 21 of 36 passes for 388 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception as the Dixie State Trailblazers decimated Adams State 52-10 Saturday at Rex Field in the season finale for both squads in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.

Sei-J Lauago also became the all-time leading runing back in program history by netting 103 rushing yards and a touchdown for Dixie State. Lauago added three receptions for 66 yards for the Trailblazers, showing his versatility.

Dejuan Dantzler served as one of Sanders’ reliable targets on the afternoon as both of his receptions went for scores for the Trailblazers, while he amassed 87 receiving yards.

In defeat, the Grizzlies were paced by tailback Tyree Harris (24 car, 103 yards) and receiver Marquese Surrell (7 rec, 119 yards, TD).

The Trailblazers end their season at 7-4 while rumors continue to swirl that they may soon leave NCAA Division II and make the move up to Division I as an FCS member in football and a representative of the Western Athletic Conference in all sports.
