Dixie State Men’s Golf To Commence Season at Washington

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Friday and Saturday, Dixie State men’s golf commences its season at the annual Saint Martin’s Invitational at The Home Course in Dupont, Wash.

The Trailblazers will stay in the Evergreen State Monday and Tuesday at the annual Western Washington Viking Invitational at the par-72 6,561-yard Bellingham Golf and Country Club of Bellingham, Wash.

This season is head coach Brad Sutterfield’s seventh at the helm of the program. He has been successful as when the Trailblazers were in the Pacific West Conference, he led them to three conference titles in a span of four seasons.

The returning star for Dixie State is former Millard High standout Nicklaus Britt in his senior season out of Fillmore, Utah and sophomore Spencer Wallace of Layton, Utah and Layton High School also has great expectations upon his shoulders.

Newcomers for the Trailblazers include former Beaver High star Davis Heslington and former Valley High star Cobe Reck of Orderville, Utah as well as Gage Ekker, a former South Sevier High star out of Richfield, Utah.

Others include Triston Gardner of Ivins, Utah and Snow Canyon High School, Noah Schone of Washington City, Utah and Pine View High School, Bradley Wade of St. George, Utah and Desert Hills High School and Grant Wilson of Bountiful, Utah and Woods Cross High School.
