Dixie State Men’s Basketball Routs Colorado Mesa Friday

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Wade Miller keyed a balanced scoring attack with 17 points as the Dixie State Trailblazers routed Colorado Mesa 86-61 Friday in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s basketball action at Brownson Arena.

The Trailblazers shot a torrid 58.8 percent (30-51) from the field, including 60.7 percent (17-28) in the first half to build a 44-31 lead at the half.

Kenzo Nudo had 18 points on 7 of 13 shooting in the loss for the Mavericks, who fell to 12-6 and 7-5 in conference play.

The win improves head coach Jon Judkins’ Dixie State squad to 8-8 and 6-6 in conference play.

Dixie State has a swift turnaround as they remain on Colorado’s Western Slope Saturday to battle the Western Colorado Mountaineers at Gunnison, Colo. for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
