Dixie State Athletics Seeks Nominations For 2019 Hall of Fame Class

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Tuesday, Dixie State’s athletic department revealed it is seeking nominations for candidates for induction into the program’s Hall of Fame in 2019.

Former student-athletes become eligible for induction consideration five full years after their last season of collegiate competition and should have earned NCAA/NJCAA All-American, all-region or all-conference honors among other national, conference and DSU program criteria.

Additionally, potential nominees should have solid character and reputation and have exhibited citizenship and involvement in their community.

Coaches and administrators become eligible five years after leaving employment at Dixie State University.

Additional consideration will be given for continued contributions to society through community activities and performance in selected areas which bring credit and distinction to the university.

Furthermore, specific varsity teams may be considered 10 years after winning a conference or national championship.

Dixie State University will also accept nominations for dedicated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the athletic department.

This organization was established in 2007 and currently consists of 33 inductees.

Among them are coaches, student-athletes, administrators, staff and volunteers.

Nominations are accepted year-round, but to receive consideration for the 2019 class, submissions must be received by September 1, 2018.
